Z103.5 HALIFAX LISTENERS HELP GRADS & MADD CANADA Z103.5 Release Because prom can be expensive Z103.5 invited listeners to donate their gently used formal gowns to the Halifax Shopping Center and their teen advisory board's annual Gown Town event to help out grads who may be in need.
In just four weeks more then 400 dresses were donated and sold for $10 each in support of MADD Canada.
On-Air, afternoon host Danny C agreed that if this year's goal of 400 donated gowns was met or exceeded he would host the sale's preceding fashion show in one of the dresses. Since more then 400 dresses were raised... well... when asked to comment on the wearing of the dress Danny said, "It's for a good cause, and I'm comfortable. Mint green really brings out my eyes."
