APPOINTMENT TO CRTC Broadcaster The Honourable Josée Verner, Minister of Canadian Heritage, Status of Women and Official Languages, today announced the appointment of Marc Patrone as a full-time member of the Canadian Radio-television and Telecommunications Commission.
"I'm delighted to welcome Mr. Patrone to the CRTC," said Minister Verner. "During his career, he has been involved in numerous aspects of television news-gathering and production. His experience will greatly benefit the CRTC."
Mr. Patrone has been involved in the broadcasting industry for a number of years. His professional experience includes service as a producer-writer with the Atlantic Television System; a writer-broadcaster with Broadcast News/Canadian Press; a reporter, videographer and editor with the Global Television Network and the Atlantic Television System as well as a news anchor and sports reporter with Scarborough Television. Prior to his appointment to the CRTC, Mr. Patrone worked as a broadcast journalist and legislative and general assignment reporter with CTV Atlantic. |
