STANDARD BROADCASTING CEO GARY SLAIGHT JOINS BURNLOUNGE BOARD OF DIRECTORS

Industry Veteran Brings Over 30 Years of Multi-Media and Music Industry Experience to Help Propel BurnLounge's Aggressive Growth Plans

BurnLounge, the world's first company to transform communities into marketers of music, entertainment and related products, today announced that Gary Slaight, president and chief executive officer of Standard Broadcasting Corporation Ltd., has joined BurnLounge's Board of Directors. Slaight brings with him an extensive background in broadcast radio, music marketing and multi-media management.

Slaight is actively involved in the music and entertainment industry and is a staunch supporter of Canadian music talent. Not only did he create the National Songwriting Contest as well as the Homegrown Contest, which is still running on stations across Canada, but he also created the Canadian Radio Music Awards. Slaight was named Broadcast Executive of the Year in 1992, 1993, 1996 and 1998. In 2004 he received the Outstanding Community Service by an Individual Broadcaster award at the Canadian Association of Broadcasters. Slaight assumed his current position as president and chief executive officer of Standard Broadcasting in 2000. Standard Broadcasting Corporation holds title as the largest privately-owned multi-media company and in addition to broadcasting, includes a retail marketing services division. Standard Broadcasting has also been involved in various new digital media, including Puretracks, MapleMusic, Iceberg Radio and Sirius satellite radio service in Canada.
