CHUM'S SWITZER TO STEP DOWN Broadcaster Jay Switzer, President and CEO of CHUM limited has announced he is stepping down. Switzer who has been with CHUM for nearly 24 years advised staff that he will depart with two weeks.
In an internal memo, he said he is sad to be leaving but happy and optimistic that CHUM is beginning a new chapter.
Earlier this month, the CRTC ruled that CTV could conclude its $1.7-billion purchase of CHUM's radio and TV stations; however it had to divest the five Citytv stations that were considered key to the deal. |
