RADIO MARKETING BUREAU ANNOUNCES NEW PRESIDENT
Broadcaster
Chairman of the Radio Marketing Bureau's Board of Directors Patrick Grierson is pleased to announce that effective March 1, 2006, Gary Belgrave will be the new President of the Radio Marketing Bureau.
Gary's affinity for radio began with his early on-air days in Montreal, spinning music and conversation in a variety of formats. He moved on from there to the advertising world, making his mark in key agency assignments in Toronto, Detroit, New York, London, England, and comes full circle with his new post.
At the bureau, Gary plans to work with the RMB team to build awareness within the advertising community of the power of radio to connect with audiences and deliver results.
"We have a great message to communicate, and we will continue to work with everyone involved in the world of advertising – from agency media planners and creative directors to advertisers and broadcasters – to spread the news about radio's effectiveness in achieving business goals," says Belgrave.
Gary comes to the RMB with extensive marketing, media and advertising experience gained over the past 25 years in Canada, the U.S. and the U.K. His most recent assignment as an international marketing and advertising consultant was preceded by his role as Executive Vice President of Young & Rubicam in Toronto.
