CAB RATIFIES NEW MEMBERS Broadcaster At the meeting of the Joint CAB Board of Directors in Ottawa on March 9, 13 new stations and services were ratified as full members.
In the Radio sector, seven new members were ratified: CFCO AM 630, 94.3 CKSY-FM, and The Rock 95.1 (CKUE-FM) in Chatham (Blackburn Radio Inc.); Cafe 100.7 (CKFE-FM) in Winnipeg and Live 88.5(CILV-FM) in Ottawa (Newcap Inc.); CKNU-FM 100.9 in Donnacona (Radio Nord Communication inc.); and Magic 99 (CHMC-FM) in Edmonton (Rawlco Radio Ltd.).
In the Television Sector, one new member was added: OMNI Manitoba (CIIT-TV) in Winnipeg (Rogers Broadcasting Limited). In the Specialty and Pay sector, five new members were added: Cinépop (Astral Télé Réseaux); GolTV and World Fishing Network (Insight Sports Limited); CGTV Canada (Stuart Media Group Inc.); and The Christian Channel (Vision TV Trust).
Additionally, two associate members were added: The National Institute of Broadcasting, and the School of Journalism & Communications, Carleton University.
