Digital-media-distribution company Musicrypt yesterday announced a patent-infringement suit against Promo Only and its technology partners, and Promo Only President/CEO Jim Robinson responds, "We feel confident that Promo Only MPE does not infringe upon Musicrypt's patent."
Robinson also says that Musicrypt's suit is a countersuit to an earlier lawsuit by Promo Only technology partner Destiny Media Technologies. "When our partner, Destiny Media Technologies, became aware that Musicrypt was claiming infringement, they launched a suit to have a judge clarify the issue," he says.
