Thousands of fans surrounded MuchMusic's famed

world headquarters in downtown Toronto, Canada, to watch an onslaught of red-carpet arrivals, red-hot performances and awards presentations live

at The 17th Annual MuchMusic Video Awards. The MMVAs aired globally for the 12th consecutive year - this year reaching a record-breaking 65 countries

worldwide.

 

Canadian rapper Kardinal Offishall's "Everyday (Rudebwoy)" was the big winner, taking home three of the 17 awards at this star-packed event.

 

Other 2006 MMVAs highlights included performances by Fall Out Boy, Nelly Furtado featuring Timbaland, Rihanna, Hedley, Nick Lachey, Simple Plan, City And Colour, Metric and Yellowcard, and celebrity appearances by Paris Hilton, Shawn Ashmore, Tori Spelling, Elisha Cuthbert, Mobile, Kardinal

Offishall, The Trews, Jay Manuel & Tricia Helfer from "Canada's Next Top Model" and many more.
