Z103 TOPS MARKET  

In the new radio BBM released July 17, the Toronto ratings are steaming just like the weather.  ByrnesMedia’s client, Z-103.5 is still at or near the top of the rock market.

Toronto Hi-Lites : 

• CHUM-FM reclaimed the #1 position with an 8.8 share Adults 12+, up from a 7.9 share. 
• CHFI-FM is in the #2 position with 8.6 share of hours tuned for A12+. 
• Q107 had a strong showing and is now #3 overall with a 7.0 share A12+
• Z-103.5 is #2 in A18-34  with an 11.7 share and #1 in A12 - 24 with an 18.7 share

Vancouver Hi-Lites : 

• CKNW is #1 with a 10.3 share of hours tuned A12+ (down from 14.7).  QM-FM is #2 with a 9.6 share
• Jack-FM is #1 A25-54 position with a 12.0 share (down from 12.8).  QM-FM is #2 with 11.2 and Classic Rock 101 is #3 with 10.8……close race
• The Beat lead in the 18 – 34 demo with a 16.3 share, up 45% from the last book. Z-93.5 is second with 14.8 and the Fox is #3 with 14.4

Winnipeg Hi-Lites : 

• CJOB retained its lead with a 15.8 share of hours tuned for A12+.  Hot 103 gained the #2 spot with a 10.6 share.  92 CITI-FM and QX 104.1 FM are tied for 3rd with 9.6 shares.
• In the all important 25–54 demo, CITI-FM has moved into #1 with a 13.6 share, up 26% from the last book.  Bob-FM has been relegated to #2 at 10.7 and Hot 103 #3 with 10.5
• In 18-34, Hot 103 still leads the way with a 21.8 share.  Power 97 is #2 with an 18.6 share.

Montreal (Anglo) Hi-Lites:

• CJAD still leads (barely) in the A12+ demo.  They have a 19.8 share, followed closely by Q-92 at 18.1 and Mix 96 at 16.2
• Mix 96 has edged into #1 in A 25-54 with 21.8 share, followed closely by Q-92 (21.0) and CHOM with an 18.1.
• Mix 96 still swamps the 18-34 market with a 29.7 share.  CHOM is second with 16.4 and Q-92 is third with 15.0.

Calgary Hi-Lites : 

• Country 105 remained on top of A12+ with a 13.2% share (up from 12.5).  96.9 JACK-FM maintained #2.
• Jack-FM is solidly #1 in A25-54 with a 16.2 share.  Country 105 and CJAY-92 follow with 13.1 and 11.3 respectively.
• CJAY-92 still has a lock on the A18-34 demo with a 23.1 share.  Far back are #2 Vibe 98.5 and #3 Jack-FM with 15.9 and 14.3

Edmonton Hi-Lites:

• CHED leads the way with a 13.2% share of A12+  (increase from 11.7% last time out).  CISN country and The Bear follow up with 9.2 and 9.0 respectively.
• In the A25-54 demo, Joe-FM leads with 11.7 (up 18%) followed by The Bear at 11.0.
• In the rock demo of A18-34, the Bear still dominates with a 20.7 (up 24%) with Sonic 102.9 in a solid second place at 14.7.

Ottawa-Gatineau (Anglo) Hi-Lites: 

• Among A12+, Hot 89.9 has moved into #1 position (up 23% from last book) with an 11.1 share followed by Magic and CFRA with 10.7 and 10.5 respectively.
• Magic trumps the pack in the all important A25-54 demo with 14.0 (up 13.3%) followed by CHEZ 106 and Hot 89.9 at 10.9 and 10.3 respectively.
• In A18-34, Hot 89.9 is cooking with a 25.1 share (up 23% from last book) followed far back by The Bear at 11.2

Hamilton Hi-Lites:

• K-Lite has a lock on this market.  In A12+, it has a 14.8 followed far back by CHML at 7.8.
• Even more dramatic is A25-54 where K-Lite has 17.2 (up 19% from last book).  In distant second is Y-108 with a 10.5 share. 
• Among F25-54, K-Lite has more listeners than all other Hamilton stations combined (25.7 – 24.5)
• K-Lite even wins the A18-34 derby with a 12.8.  A distant second is Y-108 with 8.2
