CIFM LISTENERS GET TO MEET IDLE SONS CIFM Release Kamloops Best Rock 98.3 CIFM was proud to welcome Idle Sons recently, and created a promotion that gave our listeners an experience to remember.
Our “Tell Me Why You Wanna Meet Idle Sons” contest was a big hit! Congratulations to winners Tahnee Trussler and Sean Vickers, plus their guests Wanye Leach and Jane Roberts, who met Idle Sons backstage, previewed the show at their sound check, and interviewed lead singer Mike Eastick live on-air! As well, M & M Meats graciously provided us with a yummy ‘pre-show’ party platter!
Thank you to all entrants who emailed CIFM evening personality Brad Smart with a reason “why” they wanted to meet Idle Sons, and a question they would ask. Tahnee wanted to surprise her friend Wayne, and ask about the video shoot for “Tell Me”. As an aspiring musician, Sean wanted to get some inspiration and ask about relocating to Toronto for his career.
Mike was impressed with both questions and the interview created compelling radio for Kamloops listeners. BIG thanks to EMI Canada, Road Manager Liam, and Jelly Events. The concert, which also featured 3 Days Grace, Theory of a Deadman, and Mobile sold out, and the promotion drove considerable traffic to our website. Idle Sons debut album is “Sixteen Seasons” featuring the hits “Tell Me” and “Waiting Around”. |
