The Canadian Association of Broadcasters (CAB) today recognized the outstanding news, documentary and information programming of its members with the presentation of the prestigious Gold Ribbon Awards. The awards were presented at the Gold Ribbon Awards Luncheon at the CAB 2005 Convention - The Future Summit - in Winnipeg.
The 2005 Gold Ribbon Awards were presented in news, documentary and information programming categories this afternoon to the following stations and services:

Gold Ribbon Awards
The Gold Ribbon Awards pay tribute to achievements in broadcasting in various categories including community service, breaking news, humour, public affairs and promotion of Canadian talent. A total of 457 submissions were received for the 2005 Gold Ribbon Awards.
These awards are among the most prestigious in the Canadian broadcasting industry, and recognize outstanding productions in radio, television, specialty and pay services, and community service. Additional awards will be presented this evening.
