These charts reflect minute-by-minute listening behavior during the 11am hour on 5/09/2005 to a JACK-formatted station and its music competitor.
Both charts show in five minute increments listener tune in and tune out over the course of this one hour of listening.
For JACKFM listener tuning varies significantly in each five minute listening segment. The BLACK trendline represents listening over the course of the hour.
The graph for Music Competitor X shows a more gradual listening experience in which the trendline is less severe and the average audience is higher.
This BRIDGE RATINGS XRAY analysis of actual radio listening tuning is the first look at true listener behavior to this new format's multi-genre music presentation.
Sample: 96 persons 35-44 years old, 50/50 Male/Female. Study conducted May 09, 2005.
