FMQB

XM Satellite Radio has unveiled two new products. The first is the RoadyXT radio made by Delphi, which is the smallest, thinnest satellite radio ever. It measures 3.7 inches wide by 2.2 inches high. The company has also unveiled the new Xpress radio, a new XM plug-and-play receiver from Audiovox.

The compact RoadyXT can be installed in the car or home. It has a built-in FM transmitter and a brighter, higher-contrast display screen and seven color displays. In addition to displaying the channel name, artist and song title on each XM channel, the RoadyXT has a customizable sports ticker that displays the latest scores and schedules for professional and college sports. It also has a customizable stock ticker and the popular TuneSelect feature, which alerts the listener when favorite songs and artists are played on any XM channel. The RoadyXT and included accessories will arrive at retail stores in late September and will sell for a suggested retail price of $99.99.

Meanwhile, Audiovox's Xpress is the smallest satellite radio receiver to offer a five-line display screen. The Xpress tune knob allows the user to search XM's 150-plus channels with just one knob, and it comes with a remote control so that other passengers in the car can control the programming, though it can also be used in the home. The Xpress also comes with additional accessories such as a deluxe vehicle kit, micro antenna, cassette adapter, and power adapter and has a built-in FM transmitter. It too has the sports and stock ticker, and the TuneSelect feature. It's due in stores in October with a suggested price of $99.99.
