THOUSANDS OF CANADIANS PRE-REGISTER FOR CANADIAN SATELLITE RADIO

CNW

The anticipation for satellite radio is growing and more than 3,000 Canadians have signed up to be the first in the country to receive Canadian Satellite Radio's unique digital service, expected to be launched before the end of the year.

CSR street teams conducted pre-registration sign-ups in July at the Toronto Molson Indy and the Dark Knights Nationals race kit event in Markham ON as well as through CSR website registrations online at www.cdnsatrad.com.

"Thousands of Canadians have committed to the benefits of our satellite radio offering: the diversity, choice and portability are obviously appealing to a broad spectrum of the population," said Stephen Tapp, CSR's president and COO.

"With French, English and multilingual content, we aim to develop our programming to please the cross-section of rural and urban Canadians who will have the opportunity to receive satellite radio broadcast in their language of choice, anywhere in the country," said Tapp. "No other broadcast technology can bring Canadians together like satellite radio."

"The excitement is building as we get closer to service launch. I thank all of our future customers who have pre-registered for CSR's service," said Tapp. "Offering extensive listening choice to rural and urban Canadians is just around the corner."
