101-9 The Giant in Sydney, Nova Scotia, has an amazing opportunity for someone to join Cape Breton’s #1 Radio Station. We are in a very competitive radio market, and our success is driven by a dedicated radio team focused on having fun and winning.
If you’ve got the attitude, the skills, energy and sense of humour to create exciting radio, we want to hear from you.
Here is the mission;
- Host afternoon drive and early evening on 101.9 The Giant.
- Live and breathe Hit Music .
- Host remote broadcasts and represent 101-9 The Giant at events.
- Make social networking an extension of your show.
- Keep and build a loyal listener base.
- Build local content in your show and work the phones.
- COMMUNICATE. Not announce or “jock”
- Make your show reflect your interest pop culture
- Use your best Adobe Audition skills to make your show stand out
- Master the latest Scott Studios System
- Come to work every day stoked a ready lay waste to the competition.
You need will also need exceptional organizational skills, and be a bit of a computer geek because you will be helping with the station website and using Musicmaster to create great a music flow for the station every day. You’ll be working closely with the program director to continue programming a winning Hit Music format.
